Silver Telecom Overview

Silver Telecom are specialists in the design and development of power over ethernet modules and advanced telephone and network interface solutions that service the huge and rapidly expanding global telecommunications market. Formed in 1997, Silver Telecom has, introduced a range of standard products that have lead to big export sales to our blue chip client base primarily in North America, Asia and Europe. The company's headquarters are based in Newport, South Wales, UK.

Technology

Our competitors are mainly large corporations supplying silicon ICs.  Due to the nature of this technology, it is impossible to provide a completely integrated solution, and a high number of external components are always needed to complete full system functionality. This presents additional design challenges that many system level integrators would rather avoid, preferring instead to concentrate on their core competencies.  In addition, it is not possible for these large IC manufacturers to offer the specialist advice that many new customers require.  Silver Telecom has turned this gap in the market to their advantage by providing a complete modular solution backed by expert technical knowledge and support.

Strategy

We shall concentrate on our areas of expertise - product design - outstanding technical support - technical marketing - while our manufacturing is sub-contracted to companies who are experts in low cost high quality product assembly.  To this end, Silver Telecom has assembled a team of experienced design, applications and marketing engineers.
